The Tanzania Music Awards are thrilled to announce the launch of their brand new submission portal for submitting music entries for the 2024 Tanzanian Music Awards (TMA).
This exciting new platform will streamline the entry process, making it easier than ever for artists of all genres to showcase their talent and compete for recognition.
David Minja, Chairman of the National Committee for TMA, revealed that the designated platform for submitting music works is ‘tanzaniamusicawards.com.’
“The submission portal for music entries officially opens on Friday 20th and will remain accessible until May 9th, 9:00 pm, marking the deadline for submissions,” Minja pointed out.
He emphasised that no music works will be considered for the awards without going through the designated platform. He further added that all Tanzanian artists must be active members of BASATA before submitting their works for the awards.
“No music work will enter the nomination without passing through the system, and all Tanzanian artists who will take part in the award nomination categories should be active members of BASATA,” he added.
On the other hand, Kedmon Mapana, the Executive Secretary of BASATA, urged artists to submit their works, highlighting the awards’ international visibility through media platforms such as MTV Base and BET. Mapana emphasised that this year’s awards will be exceptional in quality and will feature international recognition from renowned global channels.
“The main purpose of these awards is to encourage the production of high-quality, creatively innovative music without compromising the rich cultural heritage of Tanzania,” Mapana noted.
The announcement marks a significant step forward for the Tanzanian music industry as the new submission system aims to streamline the process and ensure fairness and transparency in the selection of nominees and winners for the upcoming TMA.
